Atuh Beach, also known as Pantai Atuh by locals, is undoubtedly one of the top attractions on the beautiful island of Nusa Penida’s eastern edge.
The beach is surrounded by beautiful green cliffs and different limestone rock formations, contributing to the area’s charm. As soon as you see this incredible natural granite arch over the crystal clear blue water, you’ll be amazed.
The shoreline of Atuh Beach is dotted with four large rocky outcrops and islands. All of this adds to the stunning vistas. Thousand Islands Viewpoint and Rumah Pohon Tree House are two more stunning locations, with several islands covered in vegetation providing the ideal background for a shot.

Atuh Beach, one of the most stunning beaches on the treasure island of Nusa Penida, stays at the top of the list as one of the most gorgeous beaches with killer views.
It’s a breath of fresh air to see this scenery. The gleaming blue sea is protected by jagged mountain peaks and a brilliantly laid-out length of white sand that begs to be walked on. This beach is known as the “Hidden Beach” because it is surrounded by cliffs, making it difficult to find. It’s ideal for anyone looking for the ideal spot for quiet beach activities like reading a book while enjoying the breeze.
The shoreline of Atuh Beach is dotted with four large rocky outcrops and islands. All of this adds to the stunning vistas. Locals call them Batu Melawang, Batu Abah, Batu Paon, and Bukit Jineng, but the most spectacular is Batu Bolong, or “empty rock,” because of its arch-like shape. The descent takes just 10 minutes, but it is rather steep, as you will notice on your trip back up.

For most of the short journey, the dense canopy of trees and vines obscures the view. A breach in the vegetation sometimes provides a glimpse of Atuh Beach. A variety of local vendors offer coconuts, nasi goreng (a local fried rice dish), and other snacks and drinks along the beach. Given the location and the effort required to transport the products down to the beach, the pricing is reasonable.
Two routes go down to Nusa Penida’s Atuh Beach. One is on the beach’s left side, while the other is on the right. You’ll come upon a lovely vista overlooking Korawa Beach if you park the car on the right side and enjoy a short walk towards the stairs.
